Pete’s Fleet, son of 2005 Preakness and Belmont winner, Afleet Alex, was a hard trying gelding. A fan favorite at Finger Lakes in Upstate New York, Pete was shipped to Puerto Rico in early 2018. He was retired after racing nine months there. Pete ran 67 races, earning nearly $200,000.
Sue Sefscik of Florida, who had watched all of Pete’s races, decided he needed to return to the Mainland. Pete was accepted into TEF and placed in Oklahoma as a therapy horse. Pete is loving his job.
