The Exceller Fund has reached a milestone in its program with the most
number of horses ever and the most amount of donations ever raised in a
year. By the end of 2008, The Exceller Fund had 49 horses in its
program and had raised just over $116,000.
The Exceller Fund is still
all volunteer with 97% of expenses going directly to horse care,
transport and Emergency Fund assistance. Total expenses in 2008 were
just over $107,000 with just over $104,000 to pay for monthly care,
vet, transportation, farrier, supplements, wormer, vaccines, and
Emergency Funding to help other Thoroughbred rescue, adoption and
retirement programs.
